In the U.K. with above inflation fare rises, chronic overcrowding and seemingly perpetual delays, you would be forgiven for thinking there has never been a worse time to travel by train.
New research suggests that, in some cases, you might be right.
Despite more than a century of technological advances it seems that some routes are slower now than they were in Victorian and Edwardian times. |
